Life can be chaotic, your day doesn't have to be: 5 Keys for taking control

It's so easy to lose control of the day. You wake up, run out the door, and before you know it, half the day's gone! So decide today take charge of your day! Here are some great tools to make the best of your day.

1. START EARLY

I've had so many great nights staying up late playing video games or watching TV, thinking I'm making the most of my day. But what I've actually noticed is I end up sleeping most of the next day's morning just trying to catch up on some zzz's. So of course, I end up dragging in energy the next day, trying to keep up, and I end up losing that day to tiredness. The solution? Go to sleep early, and start the day early. What better way to make the most of those 24 hours. Remember we all get the same amount of time each day, so it's important to take control early!

2. SET PRIORITIES

Many times we think "I just don't have the time", but in reality, we have to decide what's important for that day, and make a list of priorities. Studies show that having goals written down actually make us much more prone to be successful in reaching those goals.

3. MAKE TIME TO PRAY

Want to avoid stress or negativity during your day? Spend a few minutes each morning reading scripture and meditating in prayer. This will give you a positive outlook on life before you even get started!

4. DELEGATE

We all get satisfaction out of getting things done, but remember that working with others can multiply your strength and goal-reaching success. It's been proven that two people pulling a weight together can pull more than they can each pull separately! This illustration applies to every situation.

5. CELEBRATE SMALL SUCCESSES

Many times we feel if something was too easy, we haven't really had success. Let's take joy in the little things. Remember that you're never as good as your best day, and you're never as bad as your worst.
